Making the Change to Real Food
For decades, pet parents have been brainwashed into believing that commercial pet foods are necessary. Therefore, making a change to whole, fresh foods is not only a physical adjustment, but an emotional one.

But the idea that our animal friends cannot eat "people food" is a myth. On the contrary, they used to thrive on the food we ate, and they still can. Our loyal friends deserve fresh, whole foods -- which is why commercial pet food companies often picture such ingredients on their labels, regardless of quality or freshness.

Taking it Slow
"People food" is not what can make some pets sick. Rather, it can be the quality of the people food and the rapid change in diet that causes problems. Feeding an animal unfamiliar foods, overly fatty foods, or too much new food too soon can lead to digestive upset, leading people to the conclusion that their pets cannot tolerate people food at all.

For our animals to thrive on homemade food, a slow and careful transition is kinder, gentler and generally more successful. Sarah specializes in this transitional process, as well as designing new and improved food plans for people's best furry friends.
